My story…

My name is Lassie and I’m a happy and healthy dog with a beautiful long white and brown coat, just like the famous character from whom I get my name.

With my good looks, you might be surprised to learn that I have been at KAT Centre since July of 2018, without ever being adopted, even though their volunteers have posted my photos online regularly since then.

The reason for that is unfortunately simple. Back when I was rescued I had been injured in a road accident and very sadly, I needed to have one of my legs amputated. Since then, nobody has wanted me. I should have been returned to my community where I had spent the first years of my life, but they stubbornly refused to have me back. From being loved and appreciated by them, I was now totally unwanted, just because I had been the victim of this accident. I was heartbroken.

In Nepal, people do not want a dog like me. That’s why I have spent two years waiting in vain for someone to come and take me home. Maybe one day I will find someone who loves me, but until that time I want to stay here at KAT Centre where people do not look at me badly, and where I can play safely with my friends. Please sponsor me.
