KAT’s board of trustees is comprised of individuals, entrepreneurs and social workers excelling in their respective fields and chosen because of their knowledge and experience.
We have been registered as a charity in the U.K and as a non-profit Non-Governmental Organization in Nepal since 2004.
All board members donate their time and efforts to KAT Centre in a voluntary capacity.
KAT UK is comprised of 5 people, and is registered in the U.K as a charity (Reg No. 1137647). The KAT UK board monitors, funds and advises the Nepali team and manages KAT Centre’s international fundraising activities.
KAT US was established in August of 2020 to be a US-based supportive arm and subsidiary organization of Kathmandu Animal Treatment Center. (KAT-UK) We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and our Tax ID number is 85-2575516. We are a small but passionate group of volunteers working to support the work of KAT-UK in bettering the lives and easing suffering of street animals in Nepal.

All decisions related to animal welfare and the future of KAT Centre are made by KAT UK in collaboration with our partners in Nepal, as well as with our staff working on the ground. We also receive technical support from organizations, universities and experts in the field of animal welfare, disease control, population control and animal rights.
