My story…

My name is Jenny and I was rescued by KAT Centre after a horrible car accident that broke my spine, leaving my back legs paralysed and disfigured.

Luckily however, the medical care that I received and the way that my bones were broken meant that I survived and now feel no pain in my limbs. I’ve learnt to walk around using my two front legs which I’m now great at – and I’ve also been provided with a wheelchair which I use from time to time, but is less comfortable for me.

My accident was over six years ago and I’ve been at KAT Centre ever since. All of the visitors and volunteers notice and feel shocked when they see me, but I am comfortable here and able to manage well. They let me roam around freely and I feel like I now have a special position as the mascot of the organisation. I receive lots of attention and as I get older, this brings me comfort.

Many people have expressed concern for how I am but I have never been adopted as I require too much specialist care. There is a good chance that I will spend the rest of my life here, but I don’t mind too much.

Please sponsor me so that I and the other disabled dogs here can continue to receive the care that we need.
