My name is Ghost

Ghost

Gender: Male

Age: 8 years

Arrived at KAT: November 2025

Disabled: Yes – Ghost sadly only has three legs.

My story…

Ghost was rescued by KAT Centre after suffering a severe traffic accident.

This courageous boy has survived more than most animals ever should. When Ghost first arrived, both of his hind legs were badly injured from an accident. He was not only severely injured, he was scared and abandoned. He had no one to help him, until he found us. Our veterinary team tried everything, including complex pinning surgery, to save his legs. Despite every effort, one of his legs could not be saved, and we had to make the difficult decision to amputate it.

But Ghost didn’t give up. Today, he’s a reminder to us each day of what it means to be resilient. He may have only 3 legs, but he runs, plays, and shows more joy than ever. His confidence is growing every day, and his tail never stops wagging.

However, returning him to the streets as a 3-legged dog would be unfair and he’d have difficulty surviving. Ghost will be staying with us, where he is cared for and loved and can be guaranteed safety. But he needs a sponsor. The person who becomes his virtual guardian will not only ensure that he can stay with us for whatever time he has left. It will enable us to open the door for another dog who needs our help.

Will you be that person?

Ghost when we found him, before being rescued.
