My story…

My name is Charlie, and I was rescued by KAT Centre after suffering a severe injury.

I had a very hard life before being brought to KAT Centre. I was found in terrible condition with my hind legs crushed, and bone was sticking out. I had numerous scars all over my body, showing the struggles I had faced. Despite the pain, I never gave up; I fought to survive for weeks, even though I could hardly walk and struggled to find food.

When I was finally brought to KAT Centre by a kind rescuer, Pema Ghale, I was in bad shape. After a thorough evaluation, the doctors decided the best chance to save my life was to amputate my severely injured leg. It was a tough decision, but it worked. I went through surgery, and after a period of care and healing, I am now fully recovered.

Though I now walk on three legs, my spirit is strong. I’m eating well and gaining weight every day. I’ve also become quite attached to Dr. Samir, who has been a big part of my recovery. I follow him everywhere, and we’ve built a special bond. If you visit KAT Centre and can’t find me, just look under Dr. Samir’s feet— I’m probably curled up there.

Dr. Samir Thapa says, “There is something special about Charlie. The way he looks at you reminds me of a dog I had when I was a boy. I couldn’t help that dog, but now as a vet, I’m able to help dogs like Charlie, and I love it.”

I’m looking for a sponsor to help cover my rehabilitation, food, medical expenses, and care so I can live the rest of my days here at KAT Centre with my new best friend, Samir. Please consider sponsoring me today and give me the second chance I deserve.
